Jim Emr attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the new Prince George’s County Public Safety Firearm and Tactical Training Complex on July 12, 2017. The ceremony kicks off the construction of this multi-purpose facility, designed to accommodate the dynamic and state-of-the art training programs for Maryland Law-Enforcement officers. It features an outdoor tactical village that mirrors the conditions and challenges which law enforcement face when responding to incidents. The indoor firearm range provides a venue for initial qualification for new police officers, as well as space for practice, and annual re-training. With approximately 144,000 gross SF, the indoor range is equipped to accommodate a variety of training exercises for both long and short-range firearms.
